Privacy Policy

Information you provide

• Account information. Your email address, verification status, and sign-in information, including information Google provides if you use Google sign-in.
• Images and creative choices. Photographs you upload, including photographs saved in studio drafts, generated watercolor images, selected styles, and related technical information.
• Purchase information. Credit packs, amounts, currency, payment status, and transaction identifiers. Stripe processes payment-card details for us.
• Communications. Information you include when you contact us for support or make a privacy request.

Information collected automatically

We collect technical information needed to operate and secure the Service, such as IP address, browser or device information, pages or functions requested, session activity, and security or error logs.

We use cookies and browser storage for authentication, security, verification, and remembering your email during verification.

Analytics and advertising data. Mixpanel helps us understand how the Service is used, and Meta Pixel helps us measure advertising. These services may receive browser or device information, identifiers, page categories, and registration or purchase activity. Signed-in Mixpanel activity may be associated with internal account or studio-draft identifiers.

We use information to:

• provide and secure your account, including verification and password resets;
• save and restore studio drafts;
• create and display watercolor images and manage your credits;
• process purchases, refunds, disputes, and related records;
• operate and improve the Service and our advertising;
• provide support and respond to privacy requests;
• detect abuse, troubleshoot errors, and protect the Service; and
• comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.

We do not rent your personal information. We share the limited activity described below with Meta for advertising measurement, optimization, and attribution. Some state privacy laws may define this disclosure as a sale, sharing, or targeted advertising.

• OpenAI. We send your uploaded photograph and instructions to the OpenAI API to create your image and support safety monitoring. See OpenAI's enterprise privacy information and API data controls.
• Stripe. Stripe processes checkout, payment, fraud-prevention, refund, and dispute information. See the Stripe Privacy Policy.
• Analytics and advertising providers. We share limited usage data with Mixpanel for product analytics and with Meta for advertising measurement and attribution. We do not include email addresses or uploaded or generated images in the analytics events we define. Meta may combine this activity with other information it has. See Mixpanel's Privacy Statement and Meta's Privacy Policy.
• Google. If you choose Google sign-in, Google authenticates you and provides account information. The site also loads fonts from Google, which receives technical request information. See the Google Privacy Policy.
• Mailgun. We use Mailgun to deliver account emails. See the Mailgun Privacy Policy.
• Infrastructure providers. Hosting, network, security, and other vendors may process information on our behalf as needed to operate the Service.
• Legal and safety reasons. We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law or valid legal process; protect rights, safety, and security; investigate fraud or abuse; or enforce our agreements.
• Business transfers. Information may be disclosed as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of all or part of our business, subject to appropriate safeguards.

• Studio draft photographs. Photographs saved in studio drafts expire 15 minutes after the last draft activity. You can remove a photograph sooner in the studio, and submitting the draft removes the saved draft copy.
• Processing copies. When you submit a draft, we keep a separate source copy only while creating your watercolor and delete it when processing ends. OpenAI's copy is subject to its retention practices.
• Generated watercolors. Generated image files are scheduled for deletion 30 days after creation. You can delete a completed image sooner from your gallery.
• Browser data. Authentication cookies generally expire within 30 days. Verification data expires sooner or when your browser session ends. Mixpanel and Meta retain the information they receive under their policies.
• Draft and other records. Draft metadata, such as your selected style and draft timestamps, may remain linked to your account so the draft can be resumed or reused until it is submitted or deleted. We retain account, transaction, security, support, and legal records as reasonably necessary to provide and protect the Service, resolve disputes, and meet our obligations.

Deletion from active systems may not immediately remove information from backups, logs, or records we must keep by law.

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect personal information. No system is perfectly secure.

Depending on where you live in the United States, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your personal information, opt out of certain sharing, or appeal a decision about your request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.

You can use browser privacy settings or content-blocking tools to limit cookies and similar technologies. You can also use Meta's advertising settings or the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out tool. These controls do not delete information already retained by us for the other purposes described in this Policy.

You can remove a photograph from an active studio draft and delete completed watercolors from your gallery. To request account deletion or exercise another privacy right, contact us below. We may verify your identity and retain information as permitted by law.

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

We may update this Privacy Policy as the Service or legal requirements change. We will post the updated policy here and revise the effective date. If a change is material, we will provide additional notice when appropriate.
